Kristin will be emceeing the opening and closing events of the National Women's Music Festival 40th anniversary, an event she founded in Champaign Urbana, IL in 1974 (there was a one year hiatus).

She will sing in a round robin set with Alix Dobkin and Jamie Anderson on Thursday evening, July 2, after emceeing the previous sets for that evening.  Not to be missed!

She'll also share a workshop about the first 5 years of the Festival on Saturday, July 4 at 9 am on the grounds of the conference site.

Second year of this lovely event, a book exchange with a program about books. Each child brings a book (or several books) to donate and chooses another to take home. Extra books are donated to a daycare facility. Then Angela Allen does an interactive program in which kids act short scenes from books, and I sing my interactive "book centered" songs!

A Book Above is a sweet very little children's bookstore tucked into a strip mall in Elmhurst.  I support what they're doing and glad to be a part.  Bring the kids (adult needed for under 5, it's upstairs and there's a railing).  

I'll have my children's CD/book, Sharing, there for sale as well.
